Two Gentleman of Verona turned out to be a really fun show. I had my doubts during rehearsal, but we managed to pull it together. I do have to say the best part were the costumes. I felt like I was actually in 70's protesting the war. It was awesome. I'm sad that Two Gents was my last mainstage production at Shenandoah. I had some good times on that OBT stage. =/
UPTA's went well for me. I had the chance to visit Memphis (that place is so ghetto), visit Graceland, eat some fierce barbecue, and see some alumni. I had a great time. Not to mention, I got a lot of free stuff. The people in charge of the UPTA's conference were so nice. They gave us free soda, Red Bull, Slim-fast, candy, granola bars, make-up, and water. They also had a massage room. Anything to make our auditions stress free.
I just got back from SETC. It was awesome. I got 25 callbacks. Most the companies said they weren't hiring anyone until late August or early September.
I saw all of my CO friends. It was great seeing them again. I've missed them so much. Everyone from my SU did well. We definitely represented.
I'm going back to Lake Dillon for the summer. They offered me Mama Morton in Chicago, Shirley in School House Rock, and a Phantom in The Rocky Horror Show. (They are also doing a Broadway revue at the end of the summer for a fundraiser. ) Since a lot of companies won't even be calling me until July, I figured that was the best choice. I'm extremely excited about going back. CO is BEAUTIFUL and those shows are amazing.
