I had a nice day. Got a good haul of presents - Salt, Inception and The Pacific on DVD, Versace earrings from Trav (ooh, fancy), a new digital camera, Peter Alexander knickers, lego... And then, of course, I ate like I was never gonna eat again in my life. Mmmm, Christmas lunch.
Trav got a laptop, which is what I am using right now. I like the fact that I can spend hours at a time, eg, Wikipedia-ing Randall Flagg from the comfort of the couch while Trav plays Alan Wake, instead of sitting up at the desk. This may revolutionise my life, you guys.
Sooooo, So! Has everyone been reading the YAGKYAS fics? Has anyone guessed which ones are mine? I'll give you a hint - I wrote TWO. To me they are painfully obvious as my work, full of all my weird writing tics and bad habits, but no one ELSE is expected to pick up on that nonsense. Argh. I am fairly convinced that at least one of them is horrible and the recipient hates it, because they haven't commented on it yet. Arrrgh. Or else they are just busy having a life at Christmas. WHATEVER.
I want to rec a whole bunch of them, but I am not going to yet, because I can't be bothered putting together a rec-list right this second. But there were a few AUs especially that I loved, and some really lovely Ray/Walt. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of Ray/Nate - fuck yeah, sleeper-pairing of my heart! Haha, I have to be all careful here that I don't be too specific, or I will give myself away. Oooh, maybe I should wait until authors are revealed before doing my rec-list, actually. Ooooh.
Man, just go read them all. They are all wonderful!
Ugh, I'm so tired. Gotta get up early for work tomorrow, so I might just head on up to bed. But seriously you guys, I hope you're all happy and healthy and feeling loved this Christmas.
