it's always bizarre for me to see where i live on the national news, but i just caught an nbc nightly news segment about food carts. portland has tons of them, and they filmed the portland segment mainly at the cluster where i usually go for lunch when i'm in town (powells is just a few blocks away, fyi).

omg you guys - hardees restaurants still exist!

i thought they'd been bought out by arby's...but, judging by the logo, and they guy they've got doing the voice-over, they'd appear to be a subsidary of carl's jr these days.

so i got a new refrigerator in my apartment today - the housing inspector said my old one had blown a gasket. i prefer not to delve into the personal lives of my household appliances, so i had failed ot notice this, but whatever. they took out the old one, which has served me well for the past four years, and brought in a new (much bigger) shiny ( Read more... )
