So sleeps are making me sad. But I have still accomplished things in the last week! I think. Its actually a bit hazy right now.
*Paid the bills on Saturday.
*Roasted a chicken ... sometime over the weekend. Despite all the rosemary going bad inside the package.
*Packed almost enough lunches for the week (half days and early doctor appointments threw it off a bit).
*Baked chocolate cupcakes. They're a paleo recipe made with coconut flour instead of wheat, and came out pretty well. Its odd tho, I only had those doubled baking cups, where there is the paper lining and then an extra outside layer of aluminum foil. And there was coconut oil between the two layers of each cup. And yet the cake stuck really hardcore to the paper layer. So I dunno if it melted out thru the paper, or somehow boiled up and then down again between. I guess I could grease them next time? Was too tired for frosting, but I really just needed a chocolate fix and these came together pretty quick. Not as good as my experimental brownie recipe tho.
*Went to the IAF Salon! Saw my IAF friends and geeked out long and hard. Tho the brain fog was fierce.
*Joined
Superbetter, tho Thursday and today I've been a bit too sleepy to remember my quests. Looks like fun, tho.
*Took 11 books to the strand and made $4. I probably would have done better with the mass market paperbacks if it was just the guy behind the counter, but this other less professional looking guy at the shop separated them out first. Meh.
*Went to the Vitamin Shop with my "You're a member now, so here's 20% of all the things you want" coupon. It rather, um, skewed my spending for February, but on the other hand I don't think Ima run out of vitamins until summer.
*Went to acupuncture!
*Went to the ritzy food shop near acupuncture, where the closer-to-home soy free chocolate lives, and also stocked up. But now that I sometimes have energy for baking experiments, I will not feel guilty about it :-P
*Went to the sleep doctor, but I've whinged about that already.
*Went to Whole Foods to fill in the gaps in my spice cabinet. And then some. Including some doubles b/c oops brainfog. Also more soy free chocolate, but only the brand that was on sale. And its dark chocolate with mint, so yay. Also, WF on Union Square much less obnoxious at 11am on a weekday.
*Got my new Rx, tho it doesn't look like Ima keep taking it. Blah.
*Called Liberty Mutual to get my intermittent leave FMLA claim renewed *before* it expires. But my currently f'ed claim can't be handled on the 24 hour line, so I'll try to call today. (ow my brain).
*Got my allergy shots, and we had a proper full office visit appointment set up to go over paperwork, medication and symptom changes, etc. And fill out more Lib Mut paperwork. Sadly, did not get the claim-renewal paperwork in time, but I warned her about it so she's fine.
*Ironed out more weird bills I'm getting from my allergist, among other doctors, since my insurance changed. And finally got my new insurance card from the old insurance carrier. Thanx jerky employer.
This weekend was going to be regular chores, new Costco card + controlled test run, plus more reorganizing/cleaning of the Chantry, possibly followed by sewing or other clothing maintenance. Thrillsville. But now that I'm all strung out from sleep dep I'm not sure what'll happen beyond normal chores. The cooking chores require items that I was going to pick up at Costco, but I'm not sure I'll have the energy. Will see.
Will also try making meatballs with a recipe I found online. B/c that seems like a not-so-hard food thing to experiment with, and I'm kinda food-bored. Tho last week's roast chicken didn't last as long as I hoped it would, so I'll need to mix it up with a second protein. Or make a double batch, but not all at once b/c that leads to oven angst. If I get the ground beef at costco, there will certainly be enough for lots of experiments.
This week's organization conundrum is the great big drawer of music CDs I have in the entertainment center that rarely gets opened. Usually my stand-alone sound system gets used for its radio alarm clock, and in the past the DVD player, but not often for CDs. Ripping them all to computer will probably be OK, but then computers can crash and lose lots of data. So maybe I'll rip them, and then put them in cold storage so their current space can be used for something more pertinent (JEWELRY SUPPLIES OMG). There will also be cassette tapes, probably.
The BFA CDs live on the same surface as the CD player as a mark of geek-cred, for now. They may get their own binder. I wonder if they have CD binders at Costco...
I don't have the coordination for sewing today, so I'm not sure I'll have it by Sunday. I may at least go thru my fabric bins again with DCon projects in mind. I have a few 50% off coupons for Joann's that can be used online, but I'd rather not buy stuff I already have. (SPICES!!!!!!) I already looked at their website for a bit, and its barely comprehensible, and fabric.com has more selection and better non-sale prices in stuff I like. Tho I don't really want to order fabric this month, in light of the NYWBS being on 3/22.
May also go over the budget again. Would also like to work on my taxes, but if I'm still sleep dep'ed that may not be an awesome idea.
And will brainstorm new ways of storing my spices so I can stop buying doubles. Maybe just attach cheap labels to the tops so they can stay in their convenient little drawer. Lol, that was simple, thanx DW.
And I watched 3/4 of Trial of a Timelord so far, maybe I'll finish that this weekend :-) Last week I was watching/listeningto more DS9, since if I have chronic cf I may as well finish watching all the tv series that I can. *shrugs*
