Zoukout!
The hype of beach parties should have died off years ago. But Zouk managed to organize a fantastic event this year. Surprisingly it attracted 18000 people (according to Straits Times). Who knew that it was going to be so great. Last year they manage to attract only 5000.
I guess Zouk got the right formula this year. Foreign DJ's from different genres, rides and the right sponsors. I was very much impressed. It reminded me of the festivals in my childhood in Holland, only it was held indoors like out EXPO and much more things to do, including reversed bungee and volleyball tournaments and rave parties in different halls. I guess the Dutch really know how to party.
We stayed at the party till the storm came. It was fun while it lasted and we left before it turned nasty due to the weather. So it was a FANTASTIC experience, one I would definitely attend again.
