Surprise!!!
The surprise was on me, when I organized a birthday party and the guest of honour could not make it. But the show must go on, the invitations were send out, the food was on the table and decorations were put up.
We have been communicating in secret and smuggling groceries behind his back for weeks. Surely he would have expected something was going on. Nevertheless, he played not to know anything even when he sensed on the day itself that we were all very much disappointed.
Looking at the bright side of it, we need not wait for the birthday boy before indulging ourselves in sinful food and endless snacks. It was a Christmas theme. Thus no local delights like curry and bee hoon.
But KFC and Pizza. ha ha
It turned out to be a nice gathering with lots of junk-food and close friends.

- Tiffany for taking half day, cooking and lending the Christmas Decor
- Derek and Menjin for sharing their spacious home for the evening
- Bryan and Ragis for decorating the Christmas Tree
- Mic for bringing Christmas music to set the mood
- And everybody else just being there to make the evening wonderful
As punishment for our hard work and disappointment, we made him chauffeur the borrowed stuff for the event back and help clean up the remains. At least he knew all the hard work and effort put in.
Anyway he still got presents out of it... blah...
