open action {tea shop ... in the middle of a harpy attack?}❚entry nineteen

Mar 31, 2011 20:40

[Zuko's just come into the tea shop after a few days of being away from it and outrunning harpies (of all things) while he had taken to doing some investigating with the barriers and whatever else had been going down. His dark clothing is covered in splotches of drying mud and is torn in various places no thanks of narrowly escaping metal claws of shrieking death.

Lacerations, some deep and some shallow, along with dried blood are all partially hidden beneath the ragged flaps of cloth save for the angry scratch beneath the scarring on his left eye. He'll deal with the minor injuries after he bathes.

The firebender who's not really a firebender anymore is exhausted, grumpy, sore but above all else - relieved to be back home again, and is even more so at the knowledge that their home is still intact although it's open for business apparently...? But where's his uncle? The old man usually gives a warm greeting to any patron no matter how busy it is.

Zuko then spots someone familiar heading into the kitchen, that mop of dark brown hair, those broad shoulders and that strut... Zuko narrows his eyes, dropping his knapsack at his side. That's not his uncle...]

... Hey. You can't go back there. Hey!

[Quack, quack!

His attention diverts momentarily in surprise as Zuko looks down at the two turtle ducks that appear to be nestled in a makeshift nest of... blankets? Well, it's good to know his uncle thought of them while he was absent.

Zuko's going to just stomp his way over to the kitchen, ignoring how worn down he looks, irritation evident in the hard set of his jaw and brow.]
