I thought it was a lie, but no. Johnny Depp is in fact in a musical by Tim Burton coming out for Christmas. Entitled Sweeny Todd, Johnny Depp plays a deranged barber alongside Helena Bonham Carter, who played Bellatrix in OotP, and Alan Rickman, who plays Snape.
