Brief Break....

It looks like my dream of completing the jacket and getting halfway through the skirt tonight isn't impossible after all. I am, in fact, almost done with the jacket. I'm supposed to go to a friend's house for my bi-weekly exercise session tonight, however, so I'm not sure how far I'll get on the skirt. Part of me wants to skip it in favor of continuing work, and part of me thinks I'm being lazy if I do that (which is kind of silly, because I'll be working--but I won't be exercising). So, right now it's up in the air.

As I've gotten to an almost-completed state with the jacket, I decided to pull out my emergency back-up blouse to see how they looked together and quickly decided I needed a Plan C. So, I've pulled out the emergency back-up, back-up blouse and that actually works pretty well. It's a teeny bit too small on me, but the jacket hides most, if not all of the fit. So, assuming I won't have time to make the blouse (and I really think I won't at this point), I have something I can wear with the outfit that I don't hate.

In other news, I received twelve or so imps from a swap this afternoon and am slowly working my way through them, testing the scents. Right now I'm wearing Autumn Moon of the Mirror Stand which is, as the BPAL inclined affectionately call it, a 'morpher'. I initially wasn't sure I was going to like it, because it has quince in it, which was very, very strong upon application. So strong, in fact, that it was vaguely reminiscent of cat pee. This lasted for about fifteen minutes, then the tobacco notes came out and kicked its ass. Now it's calmed down into a lovely, slightly spicy honey smell with just a hint of fruit and is very pretty. I think I'll be keeping this one if the first several minutes of 'cat pee' doesn't put me off.
