As in the last 2 episodes of tv shows we've watched have been HORRIBLE.

Voyager and Futurama. Not two shows known for their depressing endings. As in going to go weep in the shower alone episodes.

This is a busy weekend. We are going to Methuen Mass, to visit Husband Mine's grandfather, going to Birka, getting our kiln from stonetimber, doing something for Jeff's birthday on Monday (prolly dinner out) and possibly visiting a number of places Jeff loves in the Boston-ish area. This is a review for the new Lifetime Series Blood Ties. A series based on the Tanya Huff "Blood" series.

Most of this is spoiler-y and as such will be under a cut. Although if you have read the first novel in the series, Blood Price, you know the plot of the 2 hour pilot I just watched.

seorgia, the husband and I were enjoying a spot of Old Trek yesterday. This consists of making fun of the costumes (ric rack! velor! OMG!), the cleavage (they used glue to keep the costumes on, I kid you not), the hair (basket woven hair!), the dialog (...and now we must kiss with tongues), and many a protestation of the lurve between Spock and Kirk.

Just watched Heroes. The premier and tonight's episode (thank you Mr. DVR). Well, I'll say this for it, it's addictive. Unfortunately not in that Joss-Whedon-Neil-Gaiman-good-writing-television kinda way. More of a M. Night Shamallamadingdong-post-Sixth Sense-get-to-the-point kinda way.

I had forgotten quite how wonderfully cheesy the show was, and just how wide their collars were. This particular episode has Ardala, always the wonderful villian/love interest and Julie Newmar as the guest villan. *sigh* I am a child of the eighties, I love this show even as I realise how awful it was.
