1) Tendonitis. Typing with one hand is difficult and annoying. Plus I have another hand that aches and twinges even with a brace on. I can't pick up my son easily and diaper changes are becoming a disaster. Luckily I've had Jake helping me out all weekend. Which brings me to

2. DOUBLE YUCK. Again about the family and friends. Any who can help? Hub is in training next week, but his is only 1 week. 5 weeks is a whole new ballgame. That's a long time to take care of everything yourself. And it's not just single parenting for you because there are things you're going to have to help Jake with as well like laundry and food and stuff. It's like being a single parent on steroids. :( If you need to bitch, cry, moan, whatever, I'm a PM away. *hugs*
3. TRIPLE YUCK. I hope he doesn't get grumpy.
4. Oh G-d yes. Monkey popped out 8 and 9 this week, and he's miserable. Best I can tell you is that the pool, the bath, and any kind of inside activity is your friend. We have a kid gym that has been great. Do you have anything like that near you? Maybe something offered by the city?
5. QUINTYUCK. I hope your day got better from there, or at least tomorrow cuts you some slack. Geez woman. *HUGS*

We are pretty much on our own here: our family mostly lives in NY which is 8 hours away. No rest for the wicked, I'm afraid! It shouldn't be too terribly bad, it just won't be as easy as I'm accustomed to. I think parenting will be so much easier when Jake is done for the summer.
I have a wrist brace and am taking ibuprofen several times per day for the tendonitis. The brace is really helping me to not aggravate it and keeping the pain to a minimum. I'm going to keep on this treatment course for the next week or so as unfortunately I'm between doctors and they probably wouldn't recommend anything different.
Thanks for being so supportive after my whining post :) It's really not as bad as I wrote, I was just feeling sorry for myself.
