Well, Boot was seen torturing and killing animals with dark magic.

But I'm sorry about your Apparation Exam.

Who do you think? It can only be one with super-vision aided by outsized specs.

It's true that there are plenty of other ways to get around the wizarding world. Maybe you ought to teach chuckdonna to fly.

You don't believe him, do you?

No, until the inevitable time comes for me to be a steaming pile of guts in some field somewhere, I think I shall just Floo.

It doesn't matter if I do or do not. It's none of my business how someone chooses to practise their magic.

People don't really turn into piles of guts do they?

Yes, very true. But there's a logical explanation for what Boot's done, I just know it. Perhaps he might someday care to tell us what it is; however, in the meantime, it's not anyone's business really, and it doesn't change anything really.

I'm sure I'll manage it somehow. I seem to be talented in that way.

I really hope he does not decide to give us his logical explanation. I am not sure I could survive that sort of thing.

What you need is a flying carpet.

I LIKE TALKING TO BOOT JUST FINE!!!! HE'S AN ALL RIGHT SORT, REALLY!!!!

OOOooooooooooo . . . REALLY?!?! WHERE CAN I GET ONE?!?!

I really loathe talking to him; but then, that applies to most people. Present company excluded, of course.

I'll ask my Mother about it, as I think she would know. They're not exactly... legal, I don't think. Which is a shame, because I always thought it would be neat to have a picnic while flying somewhere.

You know why I like talking with Boot? Aside from because I just do? Because he assumes I'm clever enough to follow along. That's why I like talking to you too, among other reasons.

OH A PICNIC?!?! THAT'D BE FANTASTIC?!?! WHEN CAN WE GO?!?!

I should like a flying carpet with fancy tassels!!!!

That's true, you know. He treats everyone else as if they are complete idiots. Me included, I think. Which is utterly unforgiveable, by the way.

Maybe Sinistra can find us one. She's from Turkey or some place where I am pretty sure flying carpets are still an abundant form of transportation.

Ooo yes, that is unforgiveable!!!! Of course you are not an idiot, Draco!!!! YOU ARE BRILLIANT AND SMART AND YOU LOOK SMASHING IN YOUR ROBES!!!!

I really find it appalling we're forced to have two mothers.

You are also brilliant, smart, and look smashing out in your robes. And your hair looked nice today.

I've gotten sort of used to it, I suppose. I mean, Father's not around, and Sinistra sort of reminds me of him, so...

Oh, that is lovely of you to say, Draco!!!! I'm glad you thought it looked nice!!!!

Hmm. I suppose Professor Sinistra is quite masculine . . . and you know? I do believe that she and our your father have the same hairstyle!!!! Long and flowing and androgynous!!!!

Does Professor Sinistra have a cane too?

Well, it did look nice. I believe in being honest. Unless lying makes more sense.

Er, it isn't so much that she's masculine as... well, she's always around Mother now, and he used to be, so.

I don't know if she has a cane--I'm not sure I want to.

YES OF COURSE!!!! And thank you, I wore the hair tie you bought for me in Hogsmeade -- did you recognise it?

Now I am thinking about picnics!!!!
