anybody else see the irony?
I've just been thinking about ads I've been seeing lately for the MTV Video Music Awards all over TV. I just find it hilarious that a so-called "music television" station that is notorious for not showing music videos anymore (except on TRL and at 4 in the morning- when it's the same 12 rap and paris hilton videos over and over again) is having an award show for music videos that they don't show on a regular basis. I just think it's kind of funny. That and I was told yesterday that MCR will perform at the award show, but AV7X will not, even though there were talks that they would, and the fact that they currently have a video (albeit a horrible one and a horrible song) playing on the network right now. Apparently they're too scary or something. Yeah...let's have Paris Hilton "sing" at the awards, that'd be....umm...despite the fact that I wanted to be sarcastic here and say great...I feel I must be honest and say horribly unbearable.
The music scene is continuing down a path of blah. I just wanted to remind myself of that...luckily I get to go to a rockin ass metal show in two weeks for free. God bless metal. It keeps rockin no matter what.
Oh, and on a somewhat related note, if you haven't seen the new show Metalocalypse on [adult swim] then you should, it's absolutely ridiculous/hilarious and has some sweet metal tracks too.
on a lighter note- waiiiit...nighttime minutes start at 11pm?? Oh..that's BRUTAL
