Hey Guys,
I know I havent posted in like years but i thought i would do a routine update. Finished my placement last friday, it was amazing - i had a really good time and the team were amazing. I got another youngish educator this time and we just really clicked and got on really well not to mention having loads in common so it was just a really relaxed atmosphere. The OT dept team were great as well (although they were medical), there was chris (female) who had a 3rd YSJ OT called Megan who i got on with well, Ian (only male but didnt seem to care), Lynne (she was basic grade on my first placement so it was funny doing this one with her again, anyway we get on great and she said shes gonna really miss me and hopes ill come back soon lol) ann and steph the TI's. Seriously though whenever you go into the dept you end laughing so much you hurt, i suppose you have to have a sense of humour to be an OT lol. We went out quite a lot socially as well which was fun. The placement was really interesting, i learnt loads about stroke and its effects and met some lovely patients. I also had my own caseload, woooooh, i was let loose with patients - brave supervisor lol.
Friends - Adam and Jenn - came up to york for a visit on sat, spend all day in town and went out that night to the union with Sam, Scullz, Adam and Jo and the moved onto stone roses with adama and jo where we met tuther jo and her friend mel. All was good, adam got on well with other adam and jo and thinks they are cool, jenn was pretty quiet though. In stone roses adam started getting on very well with a 26 yr old welsh woman (my adam lol, this really could get confusing) and jenn had her bag briefly stolen. Came home about 2ish. Made pancakes with adam for myself, adam, jenn, adam and jo which took ages to get the right combination of heat to oil to good pancake lol. Just chilled really after that and adam and jenn went home about 2. Jo and I cleaned kitchen and that was my fun for the day lol.
On Monday went to the Sports and Socities Annual Dinner which was a right laugh and had real college spirit although food was a litttttle bit too posh lol. Cheerleading won the most improved society of the year award and got a few other mentions. Principle was there and so was John Moore of Liverpool John Moore Uni as apparently he funds our sports and socs. Went through three bottles of wine with nicola and there was a good cheesy disco, trust me it was hillarious to see these hard rugby and football players doing saturday night, 5678 and the time warp lol.
Going to look for a summer job tomorrow at the agencies.
cant think of anything else, night xxxx
