MERRY late CHRISTMAS!!
This holiday used to mean nothing to me. Of course I loved helping my mother decorating the house and we would spend hours (laughing as well as arguing :P) assembling the tree and then baking (she always scolded me because I didn't want to use an apron an my clothes would get stained, full of flour, you can imagine the rest... haha). Besides that, nothing else. My whole family would gather from 24th to 26th in different houses but was pretty dull. They would talk about boring "adult" - here meaning economics, politics, not that 18+ stuff (or else I would dearly pay attention :P) and I would just watch silly TV shows until 4 or 5 in the morning.
This year it's totally different. It's just me, my brother and my parents. No one else (they're living in Portugal so). Sounds quite lonely and cynical but I truly enjoyed my Christmas. For the first time it was just us, sitting around a small table and chatting about trivial stuff, singing all kinds of music (and complaining about the lack of good music nowadays) and dancing (trying to I mean) jazz. Today I played my first Monopoly game ever (not counting the computer ones) and I won!! What a joy!! Haha!! I just hope New Year will be as happy as this Christmas season ^^
Just to finish:
My first batch of gingerbread man cookies ^^ (not difficult to do and pretty delicious ^_^)
