久しぶり!

It's been a while, but after a long hiatus I am back.  Not too much has happened in my absence from LJ.  Last night was an interesting night.  One of the only since this quarter has started.

It was very exciting to have the Olympics so close though.  I got together with some friends to watch the Opening Ceremony.  I really enjoyed it a lot.  Then about a couple days later, we all got together to eat pizza, drink beer, and watch the games.  Skating just happened to be on and we were all commenting on how their thighs were huge (and their butts were big).  I love going out with my friends, we always have such entertaining conversations, especially when Justin is there.  He's like a gay guy, only completely straight with a girlfriend and all.  And he's always down for skinny-dipping.  He's also one of the easiest people to talk with.  I also managed to cram in a quick trip to Canada between my homework so I could see the flame before it was extinguished the day after.

On Friday I also met up with lulabyte and Gwen to talk and catch up for dinner, and then we hung out with SJDG members Dan and Grey.  We watched lula play Bayonetta, which was freakin' awesome, and watched a bit of The IT Crowd.  SOOO FUNNY.  It was a good night.

Then on Saturday I had dinner with the girls at Marika's place, and then we went out to the bars.  First was New York Maritini Bar and Grill.  I don't particularly like the place, their martinis aren't very good and while they're cheaper than Poppes I would rather pay more for a good martini than less for a crappy one.  But I had a few beers with the guys, bought one of them a whiskey shot as payback (he bought me tequila on my birthday and that was what pushed me over the edge).  We were there until pretty much midnight causing havoc.  I ended up getting roped (nose goes) towards the beginning of the night into asking a group of people why they were wearing masks (a friend's birthday), if there was a masquerade party going on (yes).  The guy I talked with was cute, he was telling me how he made his mask by himself.

Then we got into the Up & Up before the bars closed.  I ran into so many people I knew there, one of them being my Japanese friend.  She was there with some Korean guys, and another guy who could speak Japanese who didn't actually talk to me but instead handed me a cup and then proceeded to poor me a glass, which I wasn't going to protest to.  The Korean guys were so nice, and so I chatted with them, and drank the free beer, before running into my friend Todd (who I always seem to meet at the Up).  Then as I went back outside everyone was yelling and chanting, so Mike and I had everyone sing Happy Birthday to Kim and it was hilarious.  She got a dollar out of it.  Todd and his roommates were outside at this point and they started singing, and I was humming along when I realized that they were singing rugby songs.  So I started joining along.

Then I ate pizza, got really cold/tired, and went inside to go to sleep.  Apparently we got told we needed to go home, I don't even remember walking out of the Up, I thought that we had left Kim and Renny and the others (we hadn't), and we drove Renny's car to the guys' place.  Where I promptly fell asleep there as well.  We left there about an hour later or so, and I passed out at Marika's.  She made us delicious pancakes in the morning and let me have Kahlua in my coffee.  Apparently hella drama went down yesterday, which I was thankfully asleep for or didn't actually notice.

Tonight, I went to one of my good friend's Senior Recital.  I can't believe I've known him for five years now.  I can't believe he's graduating.  And I can't believe his former roommate is graduating either.  Evan, the one who had the recital, asked that we hang out next week so I think I'm going to have to skip LOST for the second week in a row and go to Trivia.  I mean, it's going to be the last chance for the VB Boys to dominate.  Go big or go home, right?  Plus I owe Uisces a visit.

So until next time, stay happy, stay classy, make good choices! ;]

Now I have to work on two papers, one by Tuesday, the next by Monday.  I also have two presentations to prepare for on Tuesday and Thursday.  After that, this week is over, this quarter is over.  I can't believe how fast and how slow this quarter has gone.
