First, let me say I may not know what I'm talking about. I don't want you to freak out, but I thought I'd put this out there.

Have you had any testing for lupus? I know the one (maybe the only or primary) test is an ANA test.

PS - I get mouth sores during my time-of-the-month. The dentist says this is common. I have a rash on my chest that nobody has been able to explain. The last doctor seemed to think it could be lupus but my ANA was always negative.

I think my rash is due to stress and the physiological effects of strong emotion or pain.

This week, the rash got worse so at first I freaked. I called the allergist to see if HE could tell me if it was lupus because I work close to his office. He said to call the dermatologist and get it biopsy'd. I think I totally jumped the gun, tho. Once I thought about when the rash happened, it started making more sense. It's been a horribly stressful week!

I think the first step is having an ANA test done but if you're concerned, you might want to see if the dermatologist can help you figure things out.

Thanks (although not sure who this is?) - that's actually what I'm stuck on, becuase I am positive for the Lupus ANA. I think there's three tests they do, including the ANA, and this doctor told me the numbers are not indicative of Lupus - but this pattern is so constant, I really have to ask for some more info.

I hope your weekend is less stressful than your week!! =)

Oh gosh, anytime someone posts "anonymous" you should probably guess it's greybeh,(from the Fibro online classes) being fibro-fogged.

SORRY!

LOL! I am finding I am having NO issues reading the Dutch. I have not hooked up a microphone to try to SPEAK it yet, because I fear even the computer will laugh at me.

In terms of it not being anything else - my fear, honestly, is that it IS something else on top of the fibro, something that is degenerative and needs treatment to slow it or stop it, and I fear that I'm dealing with a "hey we found one thing to label it, why look more" situation. The knuckles on my left hand are getting all weird, and yet he keeps saying it's nothing - and that is NOT a sign of Fibro. My achilles tendons are dying again - both of them - again, nothing to do with fibro, and I wish I could say I was straining them with exercise, but I am a lazy ass and would rather work out my mind than my body. I don't know...it just feels like something is being missed. =/
