Another thing not just in my head

So I went to the orthopedic dept today, and the woman talked with me and started doing a pretty indepth probing of my foot.  She knew ALL the places to hit to make me go HOLY SHIT, and I didn't even think my foot was hurting enough to want to see her today, I started the appt. by apologizing and explaining this comes and goes depending on how much I used my foot the day before.

Peroneal Tendonitis - AND I do have an "accessory bone" that is floating around right in the same area, which, if my tendon was not inflammed, would not hurt at all, but because it is, is like pushing on a bruise.

She offered physical therapy - I told her I was all set (she laughed because she actually first met me with my first go-round with Achilles Tendonitis) - I'm going to do it myself at home, with icing, and instead of the boot, she prescribed a special "Swedo type lace up ankle support" which I have to go to the hospital to get fitted.

Given that I had that, then came in late to 3 meetings back to back already going, and I have a call at 1pm as well that I have to run out to take, I made the appt. for 8am tomorrow morning before work.  Fun.  Apparently this can take 4-6 weeks to recover - which is why when I wore the boot for 2 weeks, the pain is not as bad as it was, but I didn't give the tendon enough time to "cool down".

Arm is ok - deep bruise, but no reason to worry that it might have an acute fracture - the pain on movement is gone, it's really only when I touch it in any way (like rest my elbow).  Matches the bruises I have on my knees and right hip bone.  I'm colorful!

Nice day seeing mom yesterday, got a tiny ham with some mashed potatoes, taught her how to use her satellite radio, talked geneaology - then I read.  I gave up on my hardcover book because it really hurts to hold it open right now, and started Coreline on my electronic book thingie.  I BLEW through half the book already, because it's just so much easier to use than a big book.  Sad huh?

For my records - Ambien last night and the night before - feeling a bit better fog wise and fibro wise.  Done w/it for now.  See rheumatologist on Friday, we'll see where that takes me.

Now to catch up on my morning @ work.  =(
