{03} delay despair.

It's common for many events to become delayed or suspended due to poor management or unforeseen conditions. A controversial demonstration might become delayed due to protest, or a concert may be delayed due to faulty equipment. The revealing of a new masterpiece might be delayed due to theft of the artwork in question, and government control can be delayed due to a revolution.

ALTHOUGH THE END OF THE WORLD HAS BEEN DELAYED, IT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S OVER!

It would be convenient to go back to living as we did before without making preparations for the next time this occurs, but it'd be a grave mistake!

I hope the police lieutenant suicide partner will keep in mind our experiences together and also prepare for next time; you'll need your own rope. Additionally, consider reporting to the police on this suggestion, so that they can also prepare the populace and organise Anti-End-of-the-World protocols.

- Ah. On the matter of delays, the train was also delayed by one hour this morning for repairs.

[MESSAGE TO ALFRED | UNHACKABLE]

Were you hurt as an indirect consequence of my suggestion?

That's why I warned you against heroic actions! It doesn't pay to try and rebel against the powers above you so directly, particularly when they have the kind of power that allows them to cover up what happened to us. The only thing a normal person can do is go against them in day-to-day living, but in your situation...

Although I advised you not to do it, I feel responsible because I gave you the information that led to you hurting yourself. If I can do anything to make up for my actions, feel free to ask.

"Pink Supervisor"...

How uncommon. Is it some kind of very unfortunate name?

I could sympathise with the person who'd have to endure a name they can't bear to see, but it isn't normally the sort of thing I'd be thinking of.
