- Sewed and installed a cover for shift knob

I used some scrap black quilted fabric to sew a simple cover that slides over the Joyfast shift knob. This should help prevent me from freezing my hands in the winter and burning them in the summer.

- Affixed "Dampachi" Sticker to roll bar
- Trimmed and cauterized excess length from roll bar padding cord

- Replaced zip-ties on roll bar cover with some nylon cord ( Read more... )

- Split seam, cut notches, re-sewed edges of soft top cover (so that it can be used in conjunction with the roll bar)

This seemed like it would be a very easy task, but we had some difficulty with mom's new sewing machine.  Our handiwork is not the prettiest on this particular item, but I think we got most of the kinks figured out finally.

- Fabricated and installed a "curtain" to cover stereo headunit display.

- Attached sun shade to the ScanGauge bracket

My mom was kind enough to sew a hem around the fabric that I had purchased for my ScanGauge cover.  A couple of velcro squares were sew on to two corners, and then matching velcro squares with adhesive backing were attached to the ScanGauge bracket to hold the cover in place.
