The Chancellor of my university has just announced his retirement.  I've talked about this a bit under the "academia" tag.  We're just coming off a vote of the faculty union to authorize a strike 95-5; a hunger strike by some students; and an expose of spending by the Chancellor's office.  To be strictly fair, the "catered meals costing $800,000!! Not only have they greenlighted my Harry Potter special topic course, the curriculum committee liked it SO MUCH that they think it could be a PERMANENT PART OF THE CURRICULUM.  As in, offered REGULARLY.
