So, I'm interested in starting a book club at my kids' elementary school as a PTA-sponsored activity. Not sure exactly how to structure it, other than split into three groups - Kindergarten; 1-2 grades; 3-5 grades. Finally, this weekend, we made it a point to get the girls' hair cut. It was getting too long, too hard to comb out, too painful for them....and I was just getting tired of the care it took to get the tangles out everyday. There is a boy in Maya's class that likes her. Likes her so much that he wanted to kiss her and make her his girlfriend. Maya doesn't like him that way and doesn't want a boyfriend ("Boys are yucky! Had our first parent teacher conference with Maya's 2nd grade teacher last night.

Maya got a stellar review during the conference and her report card had straight A's (all A+ except for one A).

Ok, once again, I am amazed at the health care system here. Yesterday, Maya had a high fever and cough. She was peaking between 102F and 103F. We were at a friend's house and I didn't have the health insurance card with us...or even the girls' Korean id cards. But we had to take her to the doctor.
