You know, I bet he is a great lawyer. I agree he is at least honest about his trickery and in that he presents himself as exactly what he is. I bet he’s amazing, can navigate even the most dense body of law with grace and skill and a little giggle at those silly Supreme Court Justices and their pluralities and dissenting opinions, when the answer is clear to him. I’m actually having a lot of excited Rumpel feelings about it, because Rumpelawyer sounds delicious. But when you come down to it, if you had to put him into a character archetype, it would be ‘trickster’ or ‘wheeler dealer’, and it would be nice once, to get a lawyer character who is say… the hero, or the ingenue - someone who isn’t necessarily sneaky.
