[NYC] Discontention and deep thoughts

It was around eight Halloween morning and Flynn was sitting curled up on Remy's sofa sipping a cup of Earl Grey tea. He'd gotten home from his client appointment at about 3am, but he hadn't gone to bed. The client was left yet another happy customer, but Flynn's mind was still ticking over. He didn't want to go to bed only to end up tossing and turning. Deciding it was best to wait until Maddy and Remy were up to sleep, he'd taken a shower and sat to mull over his thoughts in the large, quiet living room. As it was, he'd been running out to work when Maddy arrived home the evening before, so he had been unable to explain then what Remy had done. All he got out was 'Remy hit his head. I'll explain when I get home!' before he had to leave so he wasn't late for the booking.
He heard a noise and turned to find Maddy exiting the bedroom in her pyjamas, and closed the door behind her as she shuffled in Flynn's direction. "Morning," Flynn murmured with a small smile.
