After wearing this dress twice without any decent pictures, today I finally snatched it off my bedroom floor (where else would it be while waiting to be washed?), put it on the dress form, and snapped away. Please excuse the lint and wrinkles.

Phew! It's been forever since I posted! My sister has been on break from college, and we've really enjoyed just kicking back, seeing the city, and watching old movies. I love vintage advertising. There's a jazz station here in Chicago that plays old-time radio shows on Saturdays, and we always get the giggles over the long-winded and awkwardly placed advertisements. Last weekend it nearly brought me to tears hearing the elegant Olivia de Havilland say sweetly, "There's just one more thing I'd like to say, Mr. ( Read more... )

One of the strange things to get "used to" again using film is the wait between taking the picture and seeing it developed. Especially in my family - these shots were taken in May, and we only just developed them last weekend!
