I'm glad my niece is a vegetarian....
So today is the one year anniversary of my almost 14 yr-old niece becoming a vegetarian. It was a conscious, thought-out decision, and her family has been really supportive of it (they're a nurturing lot, I must say). The cool part about this from my perspective is that to celebrate, she wanted to eat Indian food, so we went to Spice and Curry tonight! Gastronomical happiness ensued. The food was stupidly yummy (as always) and the guy who was our server (seemed to be a manager or owner possibly) was helpful and very funny. He even gave my friend Donna one of the cool beer glasses w/ the elephants on it. Since I drove there from work, I realized how not-far-off the yumminess is. This could be good for my taste buds, and bad for my wallet.
