Starting on November 11, Ed is no longer using his communicator for important private information. He's transmuted a paper journal, and will be making most of his notes there. This page will be used to keep track of them by date. THIS INFORMATION IS NOT AVAILABLE ICLY and should not be commented or KNOWN on icly at all. It's just here for my reference. xD
formatting notes: italics are additional notes, often scrawled in the margins or written between sentences/paragraphs.

"Accido." Supposedly a neighbor-- city or country? Presumably hostile -- how much do we trust this broadcast?
Mention of bombings and the Atropos virus. "Monitoring progress." Does this means the virus was intentionally administered? Biological warfare?

Azula - unstable?? Uses fire magic, or, "bending." Whereabouts uncertain. Potential for cooperation?
Lexaeus - Planning something. Works with Azula? Powerful, intelligent. Inependent.
Kotaro - Unstable. Confident. Reminds me of Scar. Goals--?
*
Satellite -- Accido 008. Mostly composed of an aluminum-magnesium-titanium alloy; also contains traces of unrecognizeable metals and elements. Native materials?
"Spy" satellite -- used for recording data. What kind of data? Contained one visible camera, but all recordings and information are inaccessible. If anything's been recorded, I mean. Firewall? If it has any other purpose, it's impossible to tell with the information we got.
Marked with "Accido 008". The existance of seven others is implied (prototypes? actual models?); others might also exist?
*
How do the Scientists know when someone has died? --Likely monitoring those with chips, but what about people without them? Still revived and have chips reimplanted, but how are they tracked??
*
A few returning people have retained their memories; do the scientists anticipate bringing them back? Others lose their memories -- Winry.
Complicates things.
What if the knowledge we gain here is forgotten? What if we do regain our bodies, and when we return home things go back to this?...
[DATE 12-29-08]
Worked well for Colonel Shit, but not exactly for this purpose.
I'll have to find another way.
The microchip clearly could serve other purposes than blocking powers -- mind control, observance. Tracking? There's some potential in that. Hypothetically, if someone could tap into the signal that it puts out and get some of these machines working...
Maybe.
Another way?
[...] Have to use a chemical that will break down easily and quickly. If I do that. I don't like it, but-- That might be the easiest way to do it.
[DATE 01-05-09]
I can't forget, but:
Transmuted myself using Envy as a passage fee -- made it to the other side of the Gate. Whole, in tact. Using Envy...
Saw Al. His body.
If-- if it had been Al, standing there, would he--
...This would all be over.
We can't use the Philosopher's Stone. Not again. Just because it's already been created doesn't mean-- ...Those are peoples' lives. Were. Al wouldn't...
...I could. But would he be happy like that?
[DATE 01-31-09]
All right. Got Azula's cooperation -- tentatively. I shouldn't even trust her this much, but...well. I needed someone.
Fuck. Am I really doing this?
Haven't told Al or Winry. I need it to be believeable. If they knew it was fake, there's a possibility that everything could go wrong.
Think I've perfected the drug -- I tried it out on a few more rats this morning and it seems to wear off completely. Even if it doesn't for me, so long as I can actually wake up from it, that's fine.
...
I'll have to apologize. And-- ...I'll explain everything to them.
[DATE 02-02-09]
...Oh yeah. That went well.
Didn't learn as much as I hoped, but I have clues to work off of, at least.
First off: Miriama. Sent in from a different location for some sort of job -- presumably getting rid of all of us. Died. She was-- [...] On the operating table. Dead. I don't think they're planning to bring her back. She said there were others. Natives. Presumably outside of the city, otherwise someone would have seen them before. (although considering her misleading arrival, how do we know there aren't others in the city like her?)
Second: I figured a few things out. I was right, they do bring us here via machinery. It's large, but I can't tell how it works. I assume it saves the locations it brings people from. It seems to work in reverse too. Fucking sucked that sheet in like it was nothing. Talk about awkward.
On a similar note, there was electricity in the building. Working electricity. Which means that, outside, there are either lines to a power plant, or a generator. The former would be easier to track visually, the latter would be easier to hear.
Their method for bringing people back has to do with some kind of surgery and process. Nothing like the Philosopher's Stone, I'm starting to wonder why I thought--
...Tch. Reckless and stupid. Maybe Maka wasn't wrong after all.
There are only three of them, I think -- Ace, Green, Lolita. I'm still wondering if Sakon's onto something...with his notes on "Sofie." Those seem remarkably like code names.
I got to ask them what I wanted, but. I'm not sure if it's a deal or not. I think they were fucking mocking me, more than anything.
...And I have the damn chip in again. I didn't even really die, this is fucking weak.

Record 1
Transcribed notes previously recorded on communicator.
Previous inhabitants. Obviously this place was populated before. I can't tell yet if they were natural inhabitants...or maybe they're just like us. Brought here involuntarily.
Virus. Atropos. Killed most of the city's inhabitants a few years ago -- lingered. Gave people some trouble before I got here, getting sick and dying from it. Vaccine?
'Sneaky Group'. Now referred to as 'the scientists.' Formerly: Ace, Lolita, Green, Phineas, Javaid.
Lolita and Green remain. Phineas was killed. Ace and Javaid? February: two new scientists arrive. Holden, Grendel.
They know most of us by name. Do they pick the people they bring?
Monsters. Spoke to Phineas previously -- confirmed that the chimeras in the sewers were basically taken from Amestris. Most of the creatures seem to be something that someone recognizes, if not more than one person.
Time difference. People are brought from different times. Was with Al just a second before arriving here, but he had been around for months in the city before meeting back up. Ling --both times he was here-- was from before that. Lieutenant Colonel Hughes--
...Winry, Colonel Mustang and Lieutenant Hawkeye seemed to remember more than me.

Record 2
Transcribed notes previously recorded on communicator.
Desert trip:
I didn't really expect to find anything out there, to be honest. From the edge of the city it just looks like a huge stretch of...nothing.
Once we got a few hours of distance between us and the city, we started seeing houses. The last thing I expected to see. They looked...vaguely Ishbalan, I guess. A little more modern, but built for the desert. We didn't get to take a look inside -- I figured we'd do that on the way back, but...
Well. That's one thing to do I guess. I'd like to look inside some of those places -- they looked more or less abandoned. Maybe we can find some personal records, newspapers, anything. There might be some supplies, too.
This means that people really did live outside of the city. It's hard to say whether they died or just moved on, without having any bodies or skeletons. Maybe we can find out something about the people. If they were...normal, more or less, with no extraordinary fighting abilities or anything, then it seems like most of the monsters came into the town with us. Which means they've been here less than a year. Considering it's been years since other people lived here, I would doubt that any of the former citizens ever saw these creatures.
Note: the desert no longer exists -- it's been flooded and has become a lake.
The subway
This is mostly gathered from Sakon's information, and I have a few more things I want to ask at some point.
The existance of a subway itself suggests the idea that this place is a lot bigger than we think it is. Not to mention, someone covered up all of the entrances. They hid them. It might have to do with the fact that there are subway stations mentioned that don't correspond with places in the town. Foreign names. For instance, if there's a "mountain pass" station listed, then inevitably there is a "mountain pass" station -- but the mountain is outside of the town.
This makes me wonder if maybe those houses in the desert weren't always in the desert. Maybe that used to be part of this city, too.
Dissimulo, Accido, Spero. Three places we've never heard of. "Sofie." That name's been mentioned before, too. Sophie, Sofie, Sofia. The Trevor family. The posters, the things he described down there... I'd like to take a look, actually.
Miscellaneous
Another murder. At least this time it wasn't followed by an angry mob. Edgeworth had an eye on the body, but as far as the investigation goes, that's the police's job and they're better at it than I am. Anyway. It seems like he found her around 3 o'clock this afternoon, and she was killed long before that. She disappeared around 5 o'clock, I think, or a little later. The body, I mean. Either way, a good few hours before a person comes back at the hospital. Shit, that still -- I still don't... Fuck, I can't even say it.
However they're doing this, it's not instantaneous. But they do use the same body, so there's no soul transmutation involved.
That leaves me with two questions -- one, does someone have to mention that a person's died for them to retrieve them? And two, can they tell before coming to see a body that the person is dead?
Note: after checking out their facility -- it's a medical procedure. Other details unknown.
[DATE 04-30-09]

A note:
"Following extensive consultation, dialogue, and review, a conclusion and agreement has been reached:
Recognizing the various and mutual interests of the participants, and recognizing both the current state of affairs and a mutual need, both participant groups agree to share research, facts, techniques and facility conditions in order to reach a satisfactory product.
We are pleased to put aside differences in order to work together with Discedo's facilities in order to produce the results that are needed.

'Work together with Discedo' due to 'current state of affairs' huh...

Snow.
Earthquake, ash, acid rain, now snow. Volcano?
Fuhrer King Bradley is here.
Wherever the Scientists are, it's a place that has power. Power lines or a generator -- either way, I might be able to find them from it.
Starting at the subway line and working my way out. If I can't find anything there...
[DATE 08-10-09]
...No luck.
[DATE 08-24-09]

[DATE 10-03-09]
...I've been doing fucking nothing for way too damn long.
[DATE 10-08-09]
...Yuuko Ichihara. Wish-granting, huh...
For a wish like that...granting it permanently would cost too much. Right? For the lowest price, it only worked a few days. Equivalent exchange...isn't exclusive to my world.
So how the hell do the Scientists get around it?
((ooc note: for yuuko's chip event,
ed and
al got their bodies back from the 4th through the 8th))
[DATE 10-12-09]
...Giant bunny rabbits.

But it is too late for us now."
