Calgary

I'm at my Mum's house and she has wireless internet. I love this. I am able to sit on the couch, have Tess (my Mum's Springer Spaniel) at my feet, tea within arm's reach on the coffee table, and have TLC on in the background. The Boyfriend and I don't have cable (by choice) so when we are somewhere with cable we seem to find all sorts of TV shows to watch. It can be a bad combination-lots of free time on holidays and too many things to get sucked into. But having it on in the background is nice.

It's 9:30 and The Boyfriend is still sleeping. It is cold and rainy outside. We had such a fun day yesterday. We went for a late breakfast with The Boyfriend's grandparents. I love them. They are so, so sweet and so funny. Craftnight was nice. It felt a little funny at first, like I had been away too long and felt a little out of the loop. But as the night went on if felt more like it used to. I am always aware of how much I talk about Toronto when I came back to Calgary. I really want to avoid being one of those people who says, "In Toronto...in Toronto..." every five minutes. But it's hard because my life is in Toronto now. The people I spend most of my time with are in Toronto.

We are driving to the mountains in a few days and I am so, so excited. I have been dreaming about this for months!
