Yesterday was quite busy for the child and myself. To explain why some of our activities took so long, there was a race yesterday. We live in Huntersville, NC which is outside of Charlotte on the north side. Nearby is the town of Concord, NC. Concord is where the Lowes Motor Speedway is. There's a back way to the speedway from Huntersville that a lot of travelers will take in lieu of the interstate.

So yesterday, Emily and I went out for breakfast at this great hole-in-the-wall bagel shop/deli. Then we decided to walk around the shopping center for a bit. Checking the time I realize that we can't go to the Maize Maze until the next day since the maze will take a little while to complete. Emily had a birthday party to attend at one of those paint your own ceramics places and later we planned to go to a pumpkin patch with some friends. So we meander around until it's party time. I dropped her at the party and decided to roam around Target for about two hours. That didn't work. I walked around for about thirty minutes before I got bored and left. Then I walked down to Old Navy. That was a great idea. I got two pairs of pants for $6.97 a pair. I got four shirts as well. Two for six and two for $3.97. Nice. You have no idea how impressed I am over that. I can't remember the last time I actually looked for clothes for myself. And to find them so marked down. I love that.

It turned out that our friends could not make the trip to the pumpkin patch. Emily and I decided to go to the Amazing Maize Maze. It took us two hours to complete the maze and find all of the pieces of the map. It was really fun.

Today was a bit more laid back. We just hung out and Emily played with her friends outside. While Emily was outisde, I watched Love Actually and cleaned up a bit. I always forget how much I love that movie until I watch it again.

Trevor comes back tomorrow. Yay.
