our house looks normal again! in fact, it looks no worse than it might after post-xmas clean up. they managed to save the top carpet, so all they had to do was replace the padding underneath, and then they shampooed it all. therefore, our carpet is damp, but only temporarily. the furniture is still askew but this was excellent motivation for getting the xmas tree out of the house before, you know, april. construction is continuing on schedule next door, but it no longer stresses me out so much; a flooded living room gives one the feeling of an upper hand.
dr. schillinger agreed with my diagnosis of spasming muscles in my hip area, as well as with my theory that the hotel bed pissed them off in the first place. i say i'm feeling better with caution, because i only feel better in a resting state. the second i get up to walk around, things start flaring and giving out all over my right side. after a few steps my right leg pretty much tries to give out on me, and falling down isn't an option because i have no idea how i'd get back up, so keeping my butt in one place is the safest option. unfortunately, one of my clients got it in her head that i'd be helpful today, even though i wasn't scheduled to work; i say unfortunately not because i don't want work, but because it would take me at least an hour to get ready and drive to sausalito, and then another 15-20 minutes just to walk to her front door. i don't get paid for my travel time, travel time that is extremely painful right now, so... yeah. i just can't feel excited. i'm also slightly resentful that she thinks i'm ok to travel and work. she saw how bad i was yesterday; it's slightly cruel of her to basically tell me to suck it up and drive down there and help her do something that is not complicated. sympathy without concern isn't really sympathy...
i think she'll make the kind decision and not guilt me into going down there.
until then, i've missed several days of crafting dailies, and i'm sure i'll get yelled at for not being 80 yet.
