aftershock finally downed archimonde!

there are 5 end bosses in WoW, spread out over 5, 25-player raid dungeons, and my guild has now downed 3/5 of said bosses. the only end bosses left are illidan stormrage (black temple) and kil'jaeden (sunwell plateau). granted, those two are a ways off, but downing archimonde is a key step in becoming an advanced T6 raiding guild -- not only in status, and gear, but in raid-wide coordination.

that being said, the archi fight sucks a nut. it's long, complicated, and your attention can never falter so it's tiring. i'm not really looking forward to going back and perfecting our strategy... but, at least we know we can do it. that should help morale.

i realized this morning that for the first time in over a week, you can see blue sky in marin county. i guess the fires up north have calmed down, because that smokey haze has been replaced with fluffy white clouds and a cool breeze. it's a welcome change of pace.

my laptop is scheduled to arrive wednesday morning... i was sorely tempted to take half the day off and spend some quality time with it, but this week is already short 'cause of the holiday, and there's work to be done (none that you'd notice, the way i'm sitting around this morning). i wish ranny was better organized -- i feel it would be more efficient for both of us if we could predict ahead of time when she'd actually need me to physically be in her office. i really didn't need to show up until 12 pm today, at the earliest. but hey, easy money!

one of my biggest challenges right now is my health. when i'm busy i often forget to eat, or ignore eating altogether, until i get home -- and then i'm ravenous and eat very poorly. this has to change, not only because it's unhealthy, but also because i don't have time to work out like i used to and i don't want to turn into blob kittie. i think there are a few basic things i can do to help myself. one major thing is grocery shopping -- i need to buy food more frequently, in smaller amounts, and that will allow more room for fresh fruits/vegetables. i also need to get up and move every day -- my old workout schedule isn't feasible, so i need a new one. i keep hoping my schedule will magically morph back into its old self, but that isn't going to happen, so i need a new schedule. it's as simple as that. danny suggested going for a walk after raid every night with aiden, which i think is a really good idea. not only will it tire out the puppy, i'll get exercise *and* loosen up after sitting in front of the computer. i also have a theory it will help me sleep better. but only time will tell.

love kittie
