I'm having a slight panic attack, which, of course, means "write a post." ^__^ I got the information for one of the projects I've been working on today. This is a high profile emergency thing that we're doing extra fast because someone high up in the company wants it. Well, it turns out the data they sent me is wrong and they will have to redo it, ( Read more... )

I'm sorry you've got such a high-stress project to deal with - sounds like your meeting was good, though!

I think some people are so very secure in themselves that they simply can't comprehend why anyone else has self-esteem issues. Baffling to me, but it seems some people really are that way.

Yeah, that project is a mess. They couldn't do anything today because Europe and Asia were already offline by the time the right people got the news. So, probably, right now, the Asia part is being fixed. Supposedly, by the time I log in tomorrow morning, I should have what I need to complete it. Ugh ( ... )

Oh, Amy, I meant to ask... did you decide on an apartment?

What were the reviews saying about the place you liked?

I agree that you can't take all reviews too seriously. People have very different likes and dislikes and expectations.

I'm glad your cat is going with you.

I am still torn between two buildings. Now I'm wondering if maybe I should wait to move until spring....by then I might have gotten a raise, which would make rent less of a strain. And if I save at the rate I am now, I'll have enough for a downpayment on a condo by spring, and then I won't be worried about not saving as much while I'm paying rent. Everyone at work that I've talked to about it tells me I need to move right now, I've been living at home too long. I don't know...it would feel good to have a definite goal, and downtown will be nicer in the spring than in September.

Man - working with people in different time zones is interesting, isn't it? I have more contact with the Asian clients now, and it can be really frustrating working with someone halfway across the world. Or even in a different state...I'm going through a real rigmarole trying to get an inventor in NY to sign something for me. But I'm glad it sounds like your project is moving towards a getting fixed.

That's a good point - the fact that she's a judge ( ... )

Yeah, as long as your dad doesn't mind you hanging around, staying at home is a pretty good deal in terms of saving money. If your financial situation will be better in the spring, then I think you should wait. It's not fun to worry about money ( ... )
