Yesterday morning idahoswede and kejn left for Bekal Fort and finished it by noon. We picked them up in the evening and left for Panambur Beach. We reached in good time and had about 45 minutes till sun set. Sneha and Nina took the camel ride, they have camels on the beach for some years now, and they are quite popular. Day before yesterday idahoswede and kejn reached Mangalore in the evening, Suchitra and me met them and took them for a short round to the Gokarnatheshwara temple. Prayers were offered to the lord there for the safe journey over some bad stretches of roads, also from deliverance from an errant snake that had dared to enter their bathroom at the Dubare elephant ( Read more... )

One day Two Buddhist Monks who were on a long journey approached a raging river. On the river bank stood a beautiful young lady. She approached them asking for help to cross the river as she feared drowning. The first monk walked ignored her and crossed the river. Kalyan Varma's photography appears in this month's Lonely Planet issue. I was looking at the snaps and had a small doubt so opened the magazine again and there it was in the opening credit. Specifically the photo in which the monkey is eating a jackfruit.

Exactly last month [to the day] I had made this post Panoramic image required. After receiving "entries" from Yathin and Kalyan I selected Kalyan's image for the security/reception room. We are doing up the reception/security area on our company premises. And the thought currently going on is to have a panoramic image of something on one wall. I will give the dimensions later so that the aspect ratio can be worked out. I only want to use an image that one of you have taken, instead of taking a photo from the internet. SR is a classmate on Suchitra's and is a friend on my FB. One day she commented on a photo I put up, and a friend on her friend's list on FB also named SR sent an FB e-mail enquiring about a person in my Rotary club photo album.
