My credit card ie Citibank provides several credit card alerts, one of them is sending an alert when the amount charged is above Rs 5000/-. It does work, last time we had bought a sari, my card is swiped and when we reach home my phone beeps me saying XYZ shop has charged x amount. Now they are getting to me really fast. I got an e-mail alert from my card provider, and what an amount I thought, surely someone had hacked my acct. Went online only to find they were all legitimate purchases made by me;-)

The Citibank rewards are quite good. For a while I used redeem them for Gillette razors and gel. Till I found that buying it locally was cheaper than the points used. Indiaplaza has credited Rs 36 into my prepaid balance account [for future use]. Legend says "Cash back for Citibank card promo OND 2009". I didn't even know this promo existed when I bought the item. eBay India uses PaisePay as a payment method by buyers to sellers. It is not an eBay innovation since it was started by Baazee.com which was then taken over by eBay.
