Clever Chhota Bheem
Just a couple of years ago when Kavya was in UKG, we had to read to her from her books just like her sister. Then when she came to 1st standard she started reading aloud from her books, whilst sitting next to me or Suchitra, spelling out all the difficult words. Now she is in 2nd and seems quite proficient in reading her books, and mostly in silence.
And so when she got her first Chhota Bheem comics [at Bangalore Airport ...enroute to HK... duty free of all the places but I did pay in Rupees] she read it herself.
I asked her yesterday how she was progressing in the new lot of books, since she has yet to finish some from the previous lot. She tells me there are a lot of difficult words and says "Chhota Bheem is only 9 years, and Kaalia is only 10, yet they speak with such difficult words!"
