My [now 11 day old] sons bilirubin test was done today, and I had decided on increasing the breastfeeding (I've had to wake him most of the time, I feed on demand if he wakes up hungry) instead of going with formula. My son still has a jaundice level of 18 even though he's 9 days old. The doctor hasn't suggested more phototherapy, but he did suggest I completely stop breastfeeding for 24 hours. From what I read this is usually done in conjunction with levels of 20 or above and phototherapy. He said it was because he wanted to see if its a hormone I'm secreting

Isabella Kathryn was born July 21st at 10:10 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19.5 inches long. I was originally due August 2nd, but she decided she was done I guess!

I just wanted to share this woman's story. She unexpectedly gave birth to a little girl with Downs Syndrome, on January 22nd, and is now sharing her story. It really is beautiful, but be prepared... you may need tissues
