Pre-eclampsia
I've been diagnosed with mild pre-eclampsia since my blood pressure was a little high the last two visits to the doctor. I'm due March 16th, but my regular doctor referred me to a specialist at a university hospital (which was only a block away thankfully). I went in to see the specialist who told me after several tests that he wanted to induce that day! I asked to defer until Monday and he agreed. I just wasn't ready to do it that day, plus I was at the appointment alone since my husband was teaching and couldn't get out of it last minute.
So I am getting induced on Monday morning, hopefully it'll be a natural delivery, but it may be a c-section. Apparently the only cure for pre-eclampsia is birth and that's what we're going for.
