I would love it if my daughter had the opportunity to be bilingual right from the beginning. Unfortunately, though, my husband doesn’t speak another language, and my Spanish is, well, the product of two years of high school instruction ten years ago. I would love to hire a part time, Spanish speaking nanny who would speak nothing but Spanish to baby girl, but we don’t have a money tree in our yard, darn it. Are there any good CD’s I could purchase that I could just play in the background during playtime? Or, for when she’s a little older, DVD’s that would speak to her solely in Spanish? When she’s ready for preschool, I’d love to get her into an immersion program, but that’s a ways down the road. Thanks for any suggestions and recommendations!
