(no subject)
so i was going through my baby shower guest list today with my best friend to see if we were missing anybody. she asked, "oh are you inviting _____?" (a mutual aquaintance/used to be friend in high school) i said no and when she asked why i didnt really have an answer. but it occured to me later that the reason i didnt want her there is that she is 27 weeks pregnant and i want to be the only pregnant person at my baby shower. is that selfish? i feel like kind of a b**ch. am i crazy?
EDIT: i suppose i should add that this girl and i didnt even speak since high school until we found out we were both pregnant and even now its not like we talk too much. i cant see being too close with her in the future because our SOs dont get along at all and she and i dont have anythng in common besides the mom factor i guess.
and actually i do have plenty of mom friends and family already. in fact, there will be a number of newborns and toddlers at the shower.
