Aah, Sleep

Nov 10, 2006 23:34

So today, for us Americans anyway, it was Veterans Day, which means I didnt have class. And becuase I had midterms on Tuesday and Wednesday, I dont really have any homework. How, you may ask, did I choose to spend my extra day of weekend? I slept. Not joking. I slept for 15 hours. It felt wonderful, and I feel quite rejuvinated now.

It all began when I decided to borrow Garden State from Liz. I didn't end up watching it until midnight, so it ended around 2:30 am. It was really good, I thouroughly (I know thats spelled wrong) enjoyed it. So around 3 I was in bed, starting to fall asleep. In the quad I hear people talking, but thats not unusual. Then, I listen a bit more closely to what i'm hearing, and this is how it goes:
"Put out that cigarette and put your hands on your head!"
"Is there a problem officer, this is my bike"
"Put your hands on your head, drop your stuff"
"Whats the probalem officer?"
"Are you from Sixth college?"
"I'm not from this college"
"Which college are you from?"
This is my bike"
"I'm sure, which college are you from"

Then I hear some movement, and

"Don't you try to run from me!"

At this point I roll over so I can see out the window, just is time to see a police officer sprinting down the stairs in front of my room, going towards the canyon. I look at the place he has just left and there is an overstuffed camo back pack, and a bike that had the wheels and bike seats of several other biks attached to it.

20 minutes later (approximatly) there are 6 cops taking photos and blaring the lights of their car through my windown (not on purpose). It was pretty exciting. So then I decided it was sleep time. I didn't wake up until 5:30 pm. So that was my sleep.

Then I got up and did my laundry at dinner, washed all my dishes, and now I have a cup of tea, and i'm going to go read my book.

Tommorrow I am going to an interview for the Arusha Project, to go to Tanzania. Then i'm going to UTC (the large local mall) to redeem a coupon I got, and perhaps take a peek in Macy's. Tommorow I also have to plan out a schecule for next quarter. I have to take Chem, Math, Bio, and CAT. Plus i'm thinking of taking a freshman seminar, a one credit class that is pass/ no pass in either Medical Technology or Science Fiction Film of the 80's and 90's (depending on whats open when I register).

Yes, so that was my day!

Oh, for all you music lovers: iTunes does one free download a week, and this week is Lily Allen, an english swing type almost rapper. Its fantastic, I love her music, and you check it out (becuase really, you cant turn down free things)!
