Sewing things!

I put on my to-do list to post this weekend 8D
I keep wanting to, but I keep forgetting to take the pics off my cam.

Anyway!
I said after Fanime what with the CLAMP madness (I still need to finish Yue, but I don't know where to wear him!) that I wanted to make nice safe rectangle bags. Bags from bags.

Pics are terrible but I'm too lazy to take new ones. Also these were taken right when I'd finished and so the bags look rather frumpy....

Bag one is an incredibly simple, but already very useful, bag from one side of an SDCC bag.

Superman was conveniently in the middle, and I had great fun cutting right through him. And yay using up fabric! I had this terrible synthetic very dark green with the strangest texture I bought for who knows what for a loooong time, bought back when I didn't know anything about fabric (lalala still don't). And green piping I had hanging out.

Bag two was made from a bag I got at Wondercon (I bought a poster. I opened the tube to put another poster in it as well for safe keeping aaaand, it was empty. So I got my money back, but kept the bag 8D).

I did all the sewing with using up random bobbin colours and this terrible orange as the top thread (left over from Project Cor).

The bottom and the handles are reflective fabric 8D
And the inside was just random brighter fabrics I have about.

Still have more bags to make!
I have a Batman messenger bag in mind and about... four more totes. Then I think I'll be good on the tote front. The cities here about have or are about to ban plastic bags so I'm getting good and prepared. Plus I like using the large totes to store various projects.
Totes are very useful.

Here's a tote I made for miss mollypocket some time ago that I quite like and may make one similar for myself.

Anyway.
I also finally got around to finishing those pants yesterday.
They just needed a hem.
I did my favourite cheaters hem :D
mognetcentral gave me this beauty:

Roll of black bias tape? YES PLEASE. I've used it so much.
Like... for hemming pants when I don't have a lot of fabric to work with:

So I mentioned before, I had these pants that were always too big but I love the pattern. It doesn't really show in the pics, but the white bit has *sparkles.* So I needed to make them work for me.
Ripped 'em apart, resized, flatlined, etc etc.
End result!

The originals also didn't have any pockets. Fixed that in a jiffy (pants without pockets sadden me).

Yay pants.

ALSO!
I went to tea with friends in Niles Canyon a few weeks ago. It was delicious, and actually the best food I've had at a tea.

Scones almost as good as mine.

Somehow forgot to take pics of the dessert, but it was a little frosting covered cake, a little mini pecan pie, and a ginger cookie.

THERE.
Almost caught up!

I did all of Gallifrey I think, covered WonderCon (though I keep meaning to take pics of my Cassie dress...), did the 1912 dress. The only thing I'm behind on is Fanime now I think!
And someday... someday... I'll post pics from Japan and India >.< I know it's been awhile, but I would like to document that.... augh. Getting there.
