Josef has, strangely enough, not focused or thought much about the apparent descent that may one day wait for them. It seems pointless to him to try to predict or control what he cannot grab a hold of, and if he starts to think about it for too long he would obtain no enjoyment from anything. Which just won't do.

Now, looking for costumes isn't necessarily his idea of fun, but if he thinks about it in the hobag way--finding something for roleplay, naturally--then it isn't a hardship ( ... )

Elizabeth and Josef have been different from the start. It is not surprising that they would be different about this as well. She does not bring it up because she doesn't think talking about it makes a difference but she does think about it. She can't really help it ( ... )

It isn't about how long she wears the costume, it's about the results and the fun that's had in taking it off in creative and inventive ways. Really, the nurse's outfit had spectacular results and both of them benefited from such a get-up. In fact, Josef can't think back on that day without wanting to relive it. It's why he's honestly not perturbed at all about helping Elizabeth choose her costume.

There are plenty of costumes he thinks she should take back to their apartment, but most of them wouldn't be for the purpose of Halloween.

Of course, he won't be helping her pick out any sort of skimpy costume.

The nurse's outfit is the kind of outfit only Josef should ever get to see on her. And yeah, that's kind of possessive and also hobag-ish of him but she can be an adorable pirate to her friends and the sexy nurse to him. Privately. He does so like that word ( ... )

Oh, Josef, so we see how it is then. It is perfectly okay that it is this way because he is a hobag. It is to be expected that her little moment with the nurse's outfit makes this whole Halloween costume experience, a one that is much easier to live through.

He should buy those costumes at some point, and she would be more than happy to try them on for him. Even if it's only for a minute or two. Elizabeth did notice the differences when she had that nurse's outfit on and can definitely understand the point of role play even if she is bad at it.

She would not want to be the sexy nurse to anyone else. Ever. In fact, she would be way too embarrassed to wear something like that outside of their own apartment.

Elizabeth bites her lip and smiles when he reaches out and tugs fondly on her hair. She rests her chin on his chest and smiles up at him, pressing into the kiss. Her hands slip around his waist. Oh, right, they are in public, aren't they?

"It should sound fair. It is fair," she says and moves forward when he pulls her, ( ... )

They make be in public, but she chose an hour where there would be little clientele, did she not? Besides, it's an empty aisle save for them, so far as he knows. Josef doesn't see the harm in lingering on the kiss, hands cradling her neck before they slip down her arms and one of his hands grabs a hold of hers. He smirks at her faintly before stepping back and allowing her to scan the shelves ( ... )

Yes, she did chose the hour with less clientele, Josef. It is good that you remember this so they can linger on their kissing in the near empty costume store. Elizabeth does not really mind in the least. She smiles in response to his smirk.

Her hand slides along the hangars, and she laughs, loudly, slipping her hand over her mouth, glancing sideways at him. "A fake parrot, Josef," she says, slipping her hand through the curls of her hair and facing him. "I think birds are kinda weird, and I wouldn't want to get pooped on. I don't think they're potty trained ( ... )

Josef lifts both hands in the air in a harmless gesture, smirk still firmly in place. "Hey, I was just making sure. Some people go for realism as much as possible when it comes to their costumes. We're having a costume themed event at the club sometime this week, and I can just imagine the special kinds of outfits I'll be seeing."

Once, he was pretty sure he saw a guy dressed up as Paris Hilton, with the real chihuahua as an accessory. He knows what he's talking about, all right ( ... )

"I guess that makes sense. If you're pretending to be like someone else, it's more fun if you feel more like you are really what you're pretending to be. But no real birds for me, thanks," Elizabeth says, wrinkling her nose at him, which quickly switches into a smile. "Oooh, a costume themed event! Uhm, yeah, I've been enough times to see the weird stuff people wear when it's not Halloween."

Not that she is judgy mcjudgerson (Hi Xander), but she does not understand some of the outfits that people put on.

She smiles wider when he brings her closer. Her blush darkens, and she rubs a hand over her face, clearing her throat. Elizabeth bounces up on her toes at the quip and grins at him. "That's what I'm talking about," she says and grabs the parrot, holding it triumphantly in the air. "Perfect. If I want to make it more real, I'll get it real crackers. Crackers are less messy."

Elizabeth kind of just stares at him when he admits to that. There is a definite ... in her expression. The tail of the parrot is in her mouth. Eh, it's good ( ... )

Josef shrugs, lips still quirked to either side. He does not get the point of any costumes, whether they're ridiculous or not, but he's aware they think so differently in pretty much almost everything that he doesn't question this. "I figured we could make a good profit out of banking in on the holiday. Most people want to go out and do something for the evening, and we're one of the only clubs openly catering to the community ( ... )

"Oh!" This makes sense enough to her. It does seem like people would want a place to go to party and to wear Halloween costumes around people who are like them instead of the ordinary human crowd. Most wanderers don't really have friends outside of the Supernatural community. "That's a very smart idea! I bet you'll get all the profits and the banking ( ... )

"I probably will. We hadn't set a date but I don't know where Nikolas has been lately so I've been running the club on my own. If we kick start a few themed events leading up to it we'd get a bigger profit out of it," he comments lightly, his fingers still curling into her hair while he speaks. It's all mentioned very offhandedly, as if he hasn't been thinking about this for a while when that isn't the case ( ... )

Elizabeth nods as he explains, noting that offhanded sound to the tone of his voice. If it wasn't for that name, she wouldn't stop to pause on it for any longer. There is still that stab of grr that she can't help but feel at the thought of Nikolas. "Like specific costume dressing events?"

She will focus on the part that doesn't make her grr. Nikolas isn't around is what he said. There's less of a reason to worry about him and what he could have in store for Josef. They may be in the clear when it comes to their families getting involved.

The dramatic groan brings forth another laugh from her. "I do want to see the pictures, and I am definitely disappointed that you do not know if they exist or not ( ... )

The initial grr cannot be helped.

Josef has conflicting feelings about his uncle on any given day, but even on their good days, there is still a grr. He'll have to think about this at length if he wants to proceed intelligently in disposing him. Josef smirks down at Elizabet and gives a short nod, banishing the thoughts from his head. "Like specific costume dressing events. People love an excuse to dress up and I'm not about to mess with tradition ( ... )

Elizabeth takes the thoughts from her head too, not that it's really easy for her to do usually, but this whole costume business is distracting. "That would be awesome," she says with a slow smile. "You could even do something like costume contests? And the winner gets a free drink, but that would make more people want to come dressed up and more people want to come to see other people dressed up all ridiculous ( ... )

IT WAS ABOUT TIME :> destroytheother October 23 2010, 20:58:49 UTC
If there is anything Josef is fondly amused of without fail every time, it's Elizabeth's easily distracted personality. He has no doubt if a butterfly fluttered on by them, she'd look on after it and forget entirely what the conversation consisted of. "...You know, that's a really good idea, Sparky," he says, an impressed glance sent her way. "You'd have to help me judge these costumes, you realize ( ... )

If a butterfly fluttered by, she would be completely distracted by it. The same could be said about anything that is shiny or colorful or loud. She can focus but it takes extra effort for her to do so. The impressed look he sends her makes her smile, proudly. She salutes him. "I have them sometimes," she says. "I would totally want to help judge. I'd be a great judge!"

Elizabeth would think it's really fun anyway. Especially if after the judging, they went up to Josef's office to 'hang out'. Everyone knows what happened the first time that she went into his office. By everyone, the narration means the two narrations and Josef and Elizabeth.

Plus, she wants to learn how to play pool, and he has a pool table up there. There have probably been lessons in the past.

"The thiiings you do for me," Elizabeth agrees, and her smile quirks to the side in amusement and curiosity. "Different how? My hair has kinda always been the same ( ... )
