A task that was once said to be impossible has finally been accomplished. Today, Marylander Room 1014, aka, "the Girls' Room," is officially clean. Well, the kitchen and restroom anyway. I don't remember exactly how long it took (maybe 2 hours or so), but I successfully turned the black stovetop to a white one. The black stains in the tub have now disappeared (actually, they just kinda turned grey no matter how much "Tilex: Advanced Mildew Remover with foaming action" I sprayed on it and scrubbing I did). The soap and toothbrush holder, which was once thought as "normally being a speckled grey color" (quoted from Jon) is now actually black and gleams. Overall, I think the cleanliness of the restroom and kitchen has risen drastically. On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the cleanest, I'd say the kitchen WAS about a 2. Now, I would rate it a 7 or 8. The floor is still a bit nasty and I didn't fully clean all the counters. I did, however, bleach the sink, scrub the floor viciously, and owned the stovetop. (Photos will be posted on facebook since I can't put images on LJ, and I don't want to upload to JShare because I'm leaving JHU soon). The restroom WAS a 1, now I'd say it's still only about a 5 or 6. Still a big improvement, though! For the restroom, I didn't really clean the floor and the tub is still kinda icky. But most of the primary layers of gunk and scum has been removed. The sink and toilet are spick and shiny and even coated with a small amount of teflon (yay for teflon!). In any case, my right forearm is not incredibly sore from the ridiculous amounts of scrubbing I did with it. Debbie, if only you could see the results! I'm sure you'd be pleased. Anyway, that is all.
