(no subject)
I'll apologise in advance: I'm posting this from my sidekick, so the grammar and spelling may not be up to par.
This weekend was good. We got into manassas very, very late. All lanes on 495 were closed crossing over from maryland to virginia, so I called my dad for a detour. We finally got to the house around 1am. Needless to say, we pretty much passed out.
We spent saturday with my family, and even went out to my uncle's place. He recently bought a new house which is on 10.8 acres of land. It goes without saying that its absolutely gorgeous. Sammy had a brilliant time riding 4 wheelers and just being outside with all that land. You don't find that in the city. I'm afraid they're turning him into a country boy. If I had wanted a country boy, I would have stayed in virginia! Nah, I don't mind too much.
In the evening, we went out to reston and spent time with naa and eliana. That was really fun and they really took well to sammy. And sammy to them. We both wish we could have spent more time with them. :( I'm hoping they'll come visit us in new york real soon!
Today we got up early, got ready, and opened presents with my dad. I got some nice things... jeans, which I've needed, despite having just bought some; a nice button up shirt, which I also need; and some japanese cherry blossom body spray. It goes with the japanese cherry blossom perfume eliana gave me. :) my dad and michelle also gave sammy a nice green lantern tshirt - one to replace the one that got bleach on it. <3
After that we went to my mom's. We kind of chilled for a bit there, talked, did a bit of catching up. Opened presents there - a gorgeous ring just like another I had, but real silver this time and a bit smaller not just in ring size, but the design too; a printer/scanner/copier; a recipe box, which my mom is going to fill with recipes; a cook book; a calendar with pictures of my brothers that she made on her mac; body cream, shower gel, body butter, perfume, and a candle in the flavour of warm vanilla sugar, yumm; and stocking stuffers... :) they even got sammy stuff - a green lantern hoodie and the simpsons movie. <3 good stuff.
We went out to brunch after that and ate and talked and had a good time. Aiden is such a cutie. So precious, I want a baby... :(
Visited with the poppies, had some ice cream cake from coldstone... that was it rally. Just hung out, chilled until about 4 when we left to go to the bus station. Got a little lost but we made it. And we're on the bus now... somewhere in jersey.
I'm glad that my family likes sammy and that sammy likes my family... this time around everyone seemed to get along better. And for some reason, my dad took to him real easily. I don't know. I'm trying to do this without gushing and making this all mushy. The truth is, I really feel like this has made us that much closer, made us that much more solid, that this is going to be it. He keeps telling me he's going to marry me one day... I love hearing that from him. It puts butterflies in my tummy, it gives me that feeling when you first fall in love.
That's what it is, in a way. I've fallen in love with him all over again. Not that I ever fell out of love, but its just made it that much more real for me... that much more serious... that much more powerful, deeper, beautiful.
I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Be it in the city, in hawaii, in virginia, anywhere... I don't care. With him is what I want. That's all I want.

Sammys reading his comic books and I'm posting here... this just seems so fitting. I have a feeling this is how we'll spend the rest of our lives. Well, him and the comics. Who knows what I'll be doing. I haven't quite found my niche yet... maybe cooking, since I've taken a fondness to it lately. Baking... ah, who knows. Only time will tell. I only know that sammy and his comics will always be a constant.
I wouldn't have it any other way...
