3519: My Veela - Draco Malfoy
Don't forget about Tropes Sue Week either. I'm looking for help finding entries for said week. I'm also looking for some feedback on this.
The next item on my Just In list was an Author's note looking for a story. Here's the summary. “Hi I'm looking for a fic in which Hermione has no memories of before she was 9 and her mate is Draco who is a veela in this one Hermione looks different and goes to st mugos and there is where Blaise spots her and takes back with him to Draco. Draco and Hermione used to be friends when she was young as she was a pure blood and her family died in a fire so Draco thought she was dead...”

CONNECTION TO CANON: The first chapter starts with an anti-climatic reveal from Draco's parents. We then find out in the second half that everybody is retaking their seventh year, and Hermione is Head Girl.
ORIGIN: Apparently Hermione's always dreamed of being Head Girl.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: He starts showing signs of being a Veela on his seventeenth birthday. (If Draco just turned seventeen then they would all be going into their seventh year and not repeating said year.) Draco can smell Hermione (his soul mate when he is near), and “since you are new at this, there will be times that unknowingly, you'll release a great amount of pheromone and attract both the male and female population.”
NOTES: I was under the impression Veela are only female. Then again they're not bothering to pay attention to anything else involving Veela. The writer says this is their “take on a Dramione veela story,” but in reality ths is just like all of the others.

"I'm a what?" Draco asked incredulously.
"A Veela, well, a eighth of a Veela, but a Veela nonetheless." He said rubbing his forehead between his thumb and forefinger and long finger.
"And you're telling me just now, why?"
"Well, we didn't knew that you were going to be one until you begun showing signs when you turned seventeen."
"That was nearly three months ago."
"Yes. And we're sorry, darling. But we wanted to make sure." Narcissa interrupted the on-going feud between the two Malfoy men.
"This is..this is..." Draco begun but was so lost at his speech that he couldn't find the right words to say.
"Absurd?" His father offered with a slight smirk.
