Can you minions help me come up with a tag which means “didn’t do their research?” I ask because this is the second entry in a row where the writer didn’t bother doing their research. It needs to be something I can easily remember the name of when I go to add it. Also, I have to do some renumbering of entries. Currently this is 5009, but it should actually be in the 4500s, but I've got some more renumbering to do starting with the 3000's which will take awhile.
Title:
It's Raining like MagicPerpetrator:
10868letsgoSue-O-Meter: Toxic
Cover/Banner Art: The cover is a picture of a girl with dark eyeliner, pale skin and white hair.
Summary: “They said the Jason Blossom murder is a mystery, but what about the new residents that moved in to Riverdale. Why are they distance on meeting people? Let's just say that they had just unleash the magic within Riverdale. Its Crossover of Harry Potter, Riverdale and Originals and few Teen Wolf.”
Full Name: Fay Rose Cooper, or so I thought until I realized Prime Merlinian is a title the writer made up. Her name is actually Calypso Fay Snape. Yup. She’s Snape’s daughter despite the fact he was head over heels in love with Lily and that is actually important to how the story unfolds in the Harry Potter universe. The writer mentions the sea nymph from Greek myth only to go on and say Calypso music is from West-India when they meant West Indies. (There is a difference.) However, they also left out the fact this is music Afro-Caribbean/Black West Indian. I’m adding Snape in here.
Species: She is the daughter of Prime Merlinian.
Hair: “Her blonde hair is put in a messy low bun tied and let few length of side hair free and curled a little.”
Eyes: Not described.
Markings: Nothing specifc. That said, given the decription from yesterday's Sue that kind of comes as a relief.
Possessions: She has her mother’s ashes in a urn when they flee to America. They’ve a house that looks like the one in the Goosebumps movie and a bunch of cats. In chapter two we get a description of her clothing. “That is what Calypso Fae Snape had in mind as she saw her new school. Her outfit, her tops is ASOS DESIGN Curve long sleeve v neck blouse that she covers her leather jacket and she chosen to wear is TOV HOLY Green Blue Tartan Plaid Widow Maxi Skirt with black pants under ninth it to wear.” “He wears her glasses as she can be far sighted from classes. Her backpack looks like Jacamo-Quilted-Coat-london-fashion-blogger-2015-13 and it's black.” We then learn, “Her wand is in a special place. It’s her necklace. It’s a second Elder Wand given by Death himself after her mother made a deal with her life he spaces Sevuerus and given by Death a brand new wand for her daughter to protect.” No, no and more no. Somebody likes her perfume or lotion which smells like cinnamon. It might be Jughead, and that’s where the chapter ends, with her making her first Muggle friend.
Connection to Canon: What the writer calls the prologue starts off with a summarization of Jugheads narrative from the original show before plagiarizing the actual narrative word for word. The next scene is some man arriving with a fifteen year old girl. Story switches to first person in the last two paragraphs. Can I also point out here the writer is also padding their word count with song lyrics at the beginning of their chapter? Half of the actual second chapter is spend telling us how special the Mary Sue is before she goes to assembly. Thankfully, no song lyrics in the third chapter but she’s already talking to Jughead about the novel he is writing which seems odd as Jughead’s just met her and I’m not sure this fits his personality. They also talk about Archie and for some reason she decided to ask if Archie was his ex-boyfriend rather than just ex-friend despite the fact they’ve just met, but he’s opening up to her regarding his friendship problem despite just meeting her and her being new to town. She hangs out in the diner, but there is at the end some mention of “let’s see if she is worthy of claiming this territory”. I think that’s a character from the Originals saying this. Chapter four starts off going on about how she liked her meal and her new Muggle friend. The next part is Snape laying into her regarding making friends, but she tries point out that Lily was Muggle-born which completely misses the point Snape realized she was a witch and not a Muggle and that’s why he became friends. He says it is actually because trouble is brewing. (I’m guessing because our Sue is just that special.) The next part is about how Jason’s body is found. There is yet another new kid, Isaac Lahey showing up. That’s actually three given the fact Veronica is also a new girl.
Origin: The writer thought it was a good idea to mash together a bunch of fandoms, but given the fact the writer starts off by plagiarizing the open narration from Jughead I doubt they actually put much thought into the story. The writer calls the OCs father a “death-dealer” rather than a Death Eater. She had a happy childhood and started going to school when Harry started his forth year.
Special Abilities: On top of the fact she’s the last descendant of Merlin she was kept prisoner by Voldemort because she has special power and the fact she’s of Merlin’s bloodline. “Her father could have died that day if it wasn’t her mother. Her mother had used her life and magic to make him live.” Not quite sure what that day is. The writer apparently thinks wearing glasses and being far sighted is a flaw, but as it is presented it is only an informed flaw. We’re also told Snape’s daughter could have been places into her senior year as a fifteen-year-old. Actually, I just realized her father is Snape yet she is fleeing to America with him. She can feel dark auras. In art class she draws a picture with black charcoal that, “was a girl with dark hair that is hugged by a phoenix in calm comfort. The phoenix wings wrapped the girl in solitude and content.” Also, of the four chapters in there is no telling how many will end up being interested in her.
Notes: Warning bells went off for this one when the first sentence of the summary is pretty much a summary of the Riverdale show combined with a sentence which indicates a random mashing together of the canon material. The second sentence is a garbled mess grammatically and means nothing. The third sentence indicates magic is needed. The last indicates more than one fandom mashed into this. Why though should I find myself interested in the story itself? Why should I be interested in their OC?
With all of the guys showing interest in her Sue the idea of Jason coming back to life as a zombie and her falling for him and nobody else popped into my head. I know that’s bad, but that’s how crazy the story is. Given his state of decay, would that save this story? Or am I just in a really weird mood?
Sample:
It was a grey day for everyone in Riverdale's mornings.
Two people were walking down the sidewalk carrying only black/green two bags called, PATAGONIA HEADWAY MLC 45L BLK Patagonia head way, MLC 45L BLK 2017 SPRING/SUMMER MODEL Japanese regular article.
The man is carrying one bag while holding the girls hand tightly as if he fears that she will be taken from him. The young girl is around 15 year's old and carrying two things. She carries one bag over shoulder to her back and animal carrier.
"Papa…"
"Just keep going, my dear. Our new home is a bit out of town. We're almost there. Don't worry, my girl."
They travel a long distance and into the forest where their house is there. (Image it's that same that R. L. Stine house lives from the Movie Goosebumps starting Jack Black)
"This is it?" the girl asked the question.
"Yes, our new home."
They enter the house. It's completely empty and is big enough to fit more people. The put down her bag and opened her animal carrier.
Her cats came out of it. They're stretching out their limbs and yawning. It has been a long journey since they had to leave home and start over.
