Believe it or not, I've actually finished all my summer homework. No, I'm not joking and, yes, this is the real Harry.

I figured since the Dursleys were just going to lock up my books, wand, and every other magical possession I have, I may as well do my homework and then have them lock away my books than spend all summer picking the lock to ( Read more... )

I'll send something your way as soon as I can, Harry.

Thanks a lot, Professor. Send anything that'd be able to fit under a floorboard. Dudley can smell food from a mile away, but he's not smart enough to look under his feet. Probably because he hasn't seen his feet in years.

You are more than welcome, Harry. I may take a bit of ingenuity to come up with something that'll fit under your floorboards, but i'm pretty sure there are a number of things that'll do.

I fit a cake Hagrid sent me under there once so I'd say anything generally around the size of a cake will do.

We can send you something SAFE, Harry. It'll be without curses, hexes, and other pranks. We promise!

Though, don't open the purple sack! That's for your cousin to enjoy when he ... finds it.

Wait, wait, wait. Guys, if you're sending anything for Dudley to enjoy, can you hold off on it until I'm leaving? You know they'll blame me.

You mean we have to wait the entire summer? That's torture!

Oh Merlin, no. I am not staying here the whole summer. I'm going to... er... that place. To do that thing. That I can't talk about on vu. I'll tell you guys when I'm leaving.

Let me see if I have this correct.

You lacked the ability to learn a thing when I was tutoring you for potions but now that you are amongst your loathsome Muggles, you willingly do all of your work?

I am not particularly elated about this news, Potter. Not in the least.

Yeah, that's pretty much right.

Minus the 'willingly' part. Do you have any idea how horrible I am at picking locks? I just didn't want to have to do it more than once. Well, twice since I'm going to have to put the books back tonight.

That must be terribly inconv -- wait, locks? Why in the world would your books have to be locked up?

Do you want the short answer or the long one?

It's so wonderful that you finished all of your homework all ready! Ronald has yet to start any of his, and I think that you're setting him such a good example.

I cannot believe that the Dursley's don't feed you anything. I'm sending something right now. Really, I can't believe what they get away with. It's just not right.

I wasn't really trying to set any examples. I just... anyway. Nobody in this house is eating anything but baby vegetables. There is nothing in the house but baby vegetables. I'll eat more when I see you later this summer, alright?

I suppose you weren't trying to set an example. But you did set a good one!

Just to make sure that you're eating enough, i'll send something. But yes, I'll make sure that you'll eat more when you visit this summer.

Thanks, Mrs. Weasley. I don't know what I'd do without you.
