Still standing...

Today I made it through the second kickboxing class!  Woohoo!!  I'm doing a little happy dance. After Tuesday's class, I wasn't too sure how I'd feel the next morning. It worked out that I wasn't too sore and was able to go to the gym that night and do the treadmill for 3 miles :)

Tonight's workout was a lot more upper body work and so much fun.  There must be something about boxing itself, but you really do feel so much stress relief, it's crazy.  We did what I guess is pretty routine in the beginning... straight punches, then knock outs and then upper cuts along w/ squatting and kicking.  Feel the burn is an understatement, lol.  Today was more abs/upper body.  They brought out the mitts and we partnered up to do more hitting.  Next we used medicine balls along w/ sit ups and then legs lifts where your partner would catch your legs and throw them down and you go side to side.  That had my friend and I laughing hysterically.  We were nearly falling over each other to try and catch each other's feet.

Looking forward to Tuesday class, but it will be nice to rest up before then.  Depending on the tropical storm, I'm hoping to get out to the gym tomorrow to do more treadmill.

We'll see what happens... 'til we meet again!!
