Any day that I am off work and am not spending it bored off my ass is overall, a good day in my book. Yesterday was one of these days.
We watched "Back to the Future" in my Principle of Story class. Seriously. Watching one of the most classically awesome movies ever made for a grade. Even better is that, the class in THX theater room and it really does make a difference watching it on a huge screen. I also love that we have these little "viewing guides" to fill out with random trivia and character analysis questions that we have to turn in. Nigga, please. I practically had half the thing filled out while the teacher was still figuring out how to work the sound system.
Sure, I may or may not have colossally embarrassed myself in that dumb acting class, and then had to re-watch said embarrassment on a giant HD screen 10 minutes later so that famous instructor man could critique me. But I will say that damn, at least I did look pretty. I thought maybe my overuse of bronzer may start be giving me tanorexia look, but oh noes. It goes nicely with my new blondish brown hair. I also totally sort of made a friend, too! She's super nice and get this...she also graduated from Mayfield in '06, but we totally don't know who each is. How is that even possible?
Halloween Store is open! YAYZ! I want to be a pirate this year because last Christmas my mom got me this sexy pair of knee high boots that just scream Jack Sparrow that I've always wanted to wear but never really had the time or place to without looking like one of "those chicks". (Meaning that they walk around in heels or something, strutting their shit like its for sale and that they're sooooooo hot, but really no. They're not, And they look ridiculous. No one wants to be that girl. In fucking New Mexico.) So there's some sexy awesome costumes out there (re: expensive) and some crappy ones, but I also saw the most amazing Bat Girl costume that would go perfect with my boots as well. Kent wants me to be the Bat Girl, but I think maybe with the movie that just came out, there might be too many Bat douchebags out there to deal with. Pirate? Bat Girl? I can't decide!
Oh. Saw the movie "House Bunny". It was totally retarded and poorly written and not to mention some bad acting was thrown in there too, but it was pretty damn hilarious. And it had Tyson Ritter! Random, no? I guess this is what he was doing while I'm here waiting for another fucking AAR album. (Pssst. Don't quit your day job, boy! Really.)
Afterward, Annie and I kept up our truly embracing our white trash American roots with our new Tuesday night tradition. You know we don't have tv, right? A couple months back, they opening up this amazing pizza place right next to our work that has the best pizza ever. They also have private flat screen tvs in each booth. Last week the season premier of "Greek" started and we can't just NOT WATCH IT. Now what we do every week at 7:00, we go to this place, get a huge ass greasy pizza and huddle around the tv. You know you're in America when even if you're out to dinner with your family, you're still fighting over the tv channel.
