I got to work today to discover that I'd won Team Member of the Area last week for my efforts with the last incentive :-D Got a letter from the CEO saying that I must be an inspiration to the people I work with, and a £10 voucher. I was proud of my wrk anyway, but it's really good to be recognised for it within te company too. And it means that both Chris and Paul Joseph think I'm doing a good job :-D
Also spent over an hour just chatting to Chris, which was nice. He even told me some confidential things that I am not to repeat...it's nice to be trusted. He's on holiday for the next 2 weeks now, which means I definitely won't be signed off as trainee assistant til after then, but at the moment I really don't care. I'm doing a good job, I'm being recognised for it and I'm happy. What more do I need?
Met one of the new starters today and she seems lovely. She's a little older than me, and has been an assistant manager of a pub in the past, it must be weird for her to go in at the bottom on a slightly different career path (waitress vs bartender). And I've been told by at least 5 or 6 people that I was missed when I wasn't here. And that's definitely always nice to hear.
My holiday was awesome, by the way. More on that later, but I'm currently 100% in love with life again :-)
